Accounting Assistant

LS2group is looking for a full-time team member to support the Director of Finance and Accounting at our growing public relations, public affairs, government affairs, event management, international relations, and marketing firm.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant may include but are not limited to:

  • Executing entire credit card processes, including entering all expenses, reconciling statements, and ensuring all payments are made timely
  • Completing bank reconciliations for all companies on a timely manner, including posting miscellaneous expenses as needed
  • Performing accounts payable duties, including obtaining appropriate approvals, entering invoices, and processing payments for all companies
  • Assisting with tax processes, including maintaining W9s and processing 1099s
  • Processing all employee expense reimbursements
  • Maintaining accounting files and supplies
  • Providing support to accounts receivable duties as assigned
  • Assisting in preparation of contracts and project intake forms
  • Creating time tracking projects and assigning employees upon request
  • Miscellaneous other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize tasks, manage time, set priorities and meet deadlines with minimal direction
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to change on a regular basis
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
