Arlo Bates specializes in public affairs and public relations.

In his time at LS2group, Arlo has worked on projects spanning various industries including energy, healthcare, insurance, broadband internet, and public policy. His work in the energy industry includes utility-scale projects across the oil, gas, wind, and solar sectors.

Arlo also has experience in the pharmaceutical, commercial insurance, and healthcare industries, including state and federal government programs. His work with commercial insurance clients has encompassed a wide variety of markets, including captive insurance, property & casualty, employee benefits, and more.

Arlo grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. He attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history. In his time at Northern Iowa, Arlo was involved with the history club. He also volunteered at the Linn County Historical Society, where he transcribed interviews and wrote content for the website.

Outside of work, Arlo enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, being outdoors, and watching movies.
