Oliver Barie

Senior Advisor, Indiana

A native of upstate New York, Oliver moved to Indiana in 2013 where he served as Ivy Tech Northeast’s chief fundraising officer. In 2017, Oliver transitioned to a multi-client public affairs practice in Indiana.

Oliver’s work experience with the Indiana General Assembly includes local government tax & finance, adult beverage regulation, K-12 education, economic development, and gaming matters. In addition, his higher education background has enabled him to become intimately familiar with issues surrounding workforce education and development.

Oliver Barie enjoys the challenge of working to understand complex legislative issues and communicating solutions to the Indiana General Assembly in an effective and responsible manner.

During his time at Ivy Tech, Oliver successfully raised over $3.5 million in private donations and grants. In addition to his fundraising efforts, he worked closely with large employers, regional legislators, and economic development agencies focused on workforce development and higher education

Prior to moving to Indiana, Oliver worked for a political action committee assisting multiple federal and statewide campaigns including U.S. Senate, U.S. Congress, and New York State Governor.

Oliver Barie is a graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and is licensed to practice in Indiana.
