Chris Stoller Michelena

Arizona Director

With nearly 20 years of experience engaging members of diverse communities, government agencies, nonprofits, and private organizations, Chris is an accomplished strategist, public affairs, and public policy expert. He has led issue advocacy campaigns at all levels of government, ranging from high-profile federal legislation and regulation to regional, state, and local policy issues for clients across a variety of industries. Specializing in public engagement and education campaigns in both English and Spanish, issue areas have included renewable energy (solar and hydrogen), health insurance, pharmaceuticals, access to care, banking, manufacturing, retail, public safety, fitness, technology, economic development, international affairs, and wireless telecom – among many others.

While Chris specializes in his home state of Arizona, he has managed projects and teams across more than half of the United States.

Prior to joining LS2group, Chris led grassroots campaigns for DCI Group in Washington, D.C. He served as an advisor to governors and U.S. senators on domestic and international policy issues and worked alongside business leaders and international dignitaries from the U.S., Mexico, and Canada on issues of common interest. He championed Hispanic engagement efforts while working for the Arizona-Mexico Commission and served as the United States Senate’s first Hispanic outreach director under U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona. Chris started his career at the University of Arizona in the Department of Real Estate Administration, where he spent nearly a decade managing the university’s capital footprint of over 15 million square feet of space.

A native of southern Arizona, Chris was raised in the binational and bicultural town of Nogales, learning English and Spanish simultaneously. He attended the University of Arizona and received a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business and economics with minors in French and general business administration. He then earned a Master of Administration in leadership from Northern Arizona University.
