Marissa Smith specializes in media relations, event management, and association management.

Throughout her career at LS2group, Marissa has worked with clients across a multitude of industries, with extensive work in insurance and financial services. As a member of the LS2group team, Marissa has secured media placements in national, regional, and local outlets, planned and executed events ranging from board meetings to large-scale conferences, and managed associations across various sectors.

Outside of LS2group, Marissa spends her time volunteering for local nonprofits in the community. Marissa is an active volunteer with Junior Achievement, a nonprofit aimed at teaching financial literacy to underserved communities. Additionally, Marissa is active in Democratic politics in Des Moines, and regularly volunteers for campaigns.

Marissa holds a Bachelor of Science in public relations with a minor in event management from Iowa State University, and lives in downtown Des Moines with her beloved cat, Mochi.
