Marissa Smith specializes in public affairs and public relations.

Before joining the team at LS2group, Marissa worked in multiple social media marketing and public relations roles where she created content for a variety of client needs.

Marissa graduated from Iowa State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in event management. As an undergraduate student, Marissa worked for a popular concert venue in Des Moines and a destination marketing organization. In these roles, she designed and executed multiple marketing plans, created website content, and analyzed insights. Additionally, Marissa created content and conducted outreach as Iowa State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America’s public relations director.

Marissa grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Outside of work, you can find her hanging out with her friends, family, and cat, trying new restaurants around Des Moines, reading a good book, or enjoying live music.
